So... Ignore that last post. I've done absolutely nothing for that smaller game. However, I've had a major breakthrough.

That's not a final image of the game whatsoever; it's a demonstration of technologies we will be using in the game. There's not even a promise that we will retain use of iFrames - they are a technology I am still wary to use due to their lack of support until recent times. However, the morale that, with the assistance of a friend of mine, Avi, has been realised - I feel that the side project is now a distraction. Development will push forward.

Mopfog Member 127 posts. | Nice. I like the background shot also. Quick comment about it is that the game is loading before the background shot. Was the background made using Photoshop, or edited using Photoshop? Could try, if you or your friend has Photoshop, saving the image as a jpeg, and in that dialogue choose 'optimize' as the mode it's being saved as. That reduces the internet load time for the image; the bigger the image, the better the reduction in time to load it. |
Mike Administrator 175 posts. | It is done in photoshop yes. It's a WIP which is why it's uncompressed. Rico's kind of... stopped working on it though. I'd like to downsize the image, or change it completely. I no longer think that the layout is suitable for the game itself, and perhaps should be used for this part of the site instead. I'll compress the image if/when it's complete; I also intend on the image caching. If people don't cache, then that's their problem The game works well enough on a black background. |
